Welcome to Our Sunday Worship – 10:00 am
We would love to welcome you in person to our Sunday morning worship services.
We meet at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, which is located at:
40 William St. N. Lindsay, ON, K9V 4A1
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not
giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”
Hebrews 10: 24 – 25
Our Services are also livestreamed on YouTube.
A Sabbath Prayer
We pray today for the Church as it opens its doors to the world.
Father God, as millions of people gather in your house to eat at your table today, may we be a family
defined by its kindness towards everyone.
Jesus, we pray for those who are lonely or on the margins today, and especially for those who are
attending church for the first time or the last time. May they find themselves noticed and loved.
And for those who are nowhere near a church meeting today, send us out to bring the prodigals home.
Holy Spirit, revive your church today. Form us into the most welcoming and diverse community on earth,
that the world may see your love, believe in your mercy and receive your invitation home.
We take a moment now to earth these big prayers in our community of Lindsay, naming those we know
who might otherwise find themselves forgotten or on the margins today.
Pentecostal Wisdom
God is generous – the giver of so many gifts, but none greater than
the gift of the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised in resurrection and was
received at Pentecost.
Eugene Peterson connects the dots:
God gave us the miracle of congregation the same way he gave us the
miracle of Jesus, by the Descent of the Dove. The Holy Spirit descended
into the womb of Mary in the Galilean village of Nazareth. Thirty or so
years later the same Holy Spirit descended into the collective spiritual
womb of men and women, which included Mary, who had been followers
of Jesus….The first conception gave us Jesus; the second conception
gave us the church.
